Four Winds First Annual Jump-a-thon!

Friday, April 8th - 11:40pm-3pm - in the parking lot!

Jumping will happen during the school for the mixed ages; after school for the younger grades, and during movement classes  for the other grades.  The jumping activities will be age appropriate. Your child will not be asked or expected to perform any task (i.e. double dutch) with which they are not familiar or comfortable doing. Children will be able to participate at all levels of ability. Even the youngest children will be able to jump over the snake rope on the ground.  Goals will be established as class goals and not individually to promote excitement and enjoyment without subjecting anyone to disappointment.

Monda, March 28th:
There will be an Assembly during school at which time hard copies of the Jump-a-thon pledge forms, the tax receipt forms and specific information regarding the actual event will be sent home in mail packets. Please review these items (see FAQs below).

Monday, March 28th-Thursday April 7th:
You and your children can start collecting pledges! Contact Kelly Kasper or Vicki Blair via email if you can volunteer on Friday, April 8th to help out with the fundraiser. It will be a lot of fun, and so easy! kellyokasper@gmail.com and svblair_chicago@yahoo.com.

Friday, April 8:
All pledge forms and collected pledges are due.
11:40am: The fundraiser begins!! More details to follow!
3pm-4pm: The fundraiser wraps up.

Friday, April 22:

FAQs

The Day of the Jump-a-thon

  1. Early Childhood, Mrs. Mogavero and Mrs. Sikora's class will jump rope during their outside playtime, 11;40-12:10, allowing time for the children to be ready for dismissal. The first and second graders  will jump rope at 12:15 with their teachers and parents.
  2. 3rd – 7th grades will be participating during their movement class. Parents are encouraged to come cheer them on!
  3. The faculty will also have a chance to participate with their class.
  4. There will be refreshments after the first session of jump roping, and throughout the afternoon. Lemonade, water, fruit and popcorn.

Your Pledge Forms and Four Winds Brochures

  1. You should have received a few Four Winds brochures before mid-winter break. Please bring them with you when you go out to collect pledges in case anyone would like to know more about the school they are supporting. Please bring back to the office any unused brochures to the office when you are done.
  2. Sponsors pay a flat pledge.
  3. All the money raised goes to support Four Winds Waldorf School.
  4. All donations are tax deductible.
  5. Each family will receive 10 thank you cards with a tax donation form to be given out at the time the pledges are collected. Each sponsor will have their own opinion as to when they want to pay their pledge, before or after.
  6. Sponsors may pay by check, cash, or credit online.
  7. In addition to using the pledge form, you can also email friends and family and ask them to pledge online. We will forward you a link as soon as the donate button goes live on our website and facebook page. This will allow your family and friends to donate a flat pledge with a credit card online.
  8. Completed pledge forms and collected money should be delivered to the office or brought to the fundraiser on Friday.
