Preschool-Kindergarten Sampler
10 am to noon
Experience the magic of a Waldorf Preschool-Kindergarten classroom with your child and meet our Early Childhood Faculty. The morning will include circle time, free play and a story or puppet show. During free play, parents will hear about the philosophy of Waldorf education, the history of Four Winds, and the objectives of our Preschool-Kindergarten program. Please call to RSVP 630-836-9400.
In a time when children are increasingly pushed to grow up fast, Waldorf education seeks to understand and honor the natural unfolding of each child. Within our Preschool and Kindergarten programs, children’s capacities for creative thinking and problem solving are fostered through imaginative play while broad and fundamental experiences in movement, the arts, and practical “work” lay the foundation for later academic learning. For a full description of our offerings, please visit "Programs."
Join us for a tour of the school hosted by our Enrollment Committee. Tours begin promptly at 8:45 am with a brief presentation, followed by a tour of the classrooms, displays of student work, and a Question & Answer period with our school Administrator. Please plan to arrive by 8:45 and stay until 10:15 am. Registration is required. Please call to register: 630-836-9400.
Tours are open to parents and infants in arms. There is no childcare provided.
What is money? What is work? Are we reaching a point, a tipping point, for a "paradigm shift" in economics? Like the Copernican revolution in cosmology or astronomy? What is a way towards a truly new spiritual-economic way of life? For us as individuals, for economic enterprises, for this country, for the global community?
Please call 630-836-9400 to RSVP - Donations accepted at the door.
