As a private institution, Four Winds also relies heavily upon contributions of time and money from its parent community in order to achieve its educational goals. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in various volunteer opportunities, ranging from:

• Assisting in classroom activities and field trips.
• Participating on Parent Council, the organizing body for numerous school events.
• Contributing time for building and grounds maintenance and improvements.
• Sitting on various working committees, or on the Board of Directors.
